Tierra Sagrada de Costa Rica was founded by the incredible duo of Mr. Ken Pollinger, Ph.D. and his gifted daughter Dr. Erin Pollinger.
The intention for the creation of Tierra Sagrada was for it to be a place where people can come to heal, transform, awaken, pray, sing, dance, write, play, be in community and connect to the magic of nature. The visionary of Tierra Sagrada; Mr. Ken “Zen” Pollinger, has brought about an incredible haven set in the lush, beautiful mountainside that is incredibly peaceful and magnetic. The section of land is located on eight magnificient acres in the majestic mountains of Lagunas. It has an enchanted feeling that encouraged Zen and Erin to create this mystical setting which is ideal for sacred ceremony and healing retreats. Tierra is located only 1 hour from San Isidro del General and 15 minutes from the exciting beach town of Dominical on the Southern Pacific Shore. It is surrounded by like-minded neighbors and green communities which enhance the feeling of peace and tranquility. Pictures do not do Tierra Sagrada justice, it is a location that is best experienced in person!
It’s easier than you think to get to paradise….
Fly into Costa Rica’s San Jose International Airport (SJO).
Collect your bags, exit customs and walk straight outside. Follow the sidewalk to the left, 1/4 mile to the Sansa Hanger next door.
Then take a short 20 minute flight via Sansa Airlines www.flysansa.com to Quepos / Manuel Antonio Airport.
Airport transfers to Tierra Sagrada from Manuel Antonio in Quepos are included in your fee.
If you do not wish to take the second flight, you can rent a car and enjoy the 3 hour ride.
There is also a Monkey ride shuttle bus that is reliable and takes around 3 hours. www.monkeyridecr.com
Things to keep in mind: The last shuttle leaves San Jose around 3:00pm. The last flight leaves San Jose around 4:30pm. Please check arrival times coming from the USA. If your flight arrives later you will need to stay overnight. One recommendation is Margarita’s Guest House. Margarita is a great person and for $35 a night you will get dinner and breakfast included. It is a solid place to try out and only a short taxi ride from the airport or shuttle ride with the Monkey bus in the morning, depending on what you’d like to experience.
DIRECTIONS:
From Airport:
Rent a 4×4 car (about $400/wk) and take the Pacific Coast road (Caldera) or use Easy Ride Shuttle Service ($49 each way) to Dominical. Once there, we either pick you up, or you can drive taking Route 243 towards San Isidro for about 8 minutes and before the first small metal bridge, (a Tire Repair business is on the right), turn left onto Lagunas Road. Drive 5.5km (up a very steep and bumpy, dusty road) and turn right into Refugio Mira Piedras. You will see a gate and a clearly marked wooden sign. Proceed on the road directly, without turning, until you see the signs for Tierra Sagrada, stay to the right and park at the big house in front of you and prepare to be welcomed, amazed and happy you made the trek!
